tennessee walker

today, elizabeth, a speesees friend, inquired about whether our new prance design is based on a tennessee walker. being a horse woman herself (she has shown in kentucky + tennessee at the international, TWH national celebration), she could recognize the prance's prance anywhere. she was indeed correct; i fell in love with a tennessee walker in taos, new mexico, dancing around an indian reservation under the sun during the summer of 2004. when it came time to design a speesees horse, i thought the tennesse walker's graceful stride would make a distinctive graphic.

the tennessee walker or tennessee walking horse is a gentle and comfortable riding horse. the breed was originally bred in the southern united states to carry the owners of plantations around their lands. their unique four-beat "running walk" is especially comfortable to ride, making the breed a well-suited trail companion. the breed is rarely seen in any of the sport horse disciplines; however, they are good for trail riding because of their smooth gaits, stamina and easy temper, + are also seen in western riding disciplines and in harness. http://www.twhbea.com/

i just came across this project i did for design II when i was at CCA. i think i was supposed to design a company logo, so i created a company called FORZO (typically me, creating an entire company idea when i am supposed to focus on something small), apparently a kid's company
whose tagline was "imagine the possibilities" + website: forzominds.com. the logo itself wasn't very strong, but the idea is vaguely familiar...i might need to borrow it. *rdp
